The entrance of Thomas Lewis Barrett into the world yesterday! Photo that i've been sent by the proud mummy and daddy hopefully to follow once i work out how to resize it etc, as it's enormous at the moment, the photo not the baby. Congratulations Adrian and Juliette! Yay for family Barrett, praise God for the wonder of the miracle of new birth, both physical and in Jesus by the Spirit!

God being so kind in all things. Sunday school going really well, allowing Matt to preach well again, the last in his sermon series, for good chats as church over coffee after the services, for a good afternoon with Rach and that finally, after much inducement, Juliettes waters have broken and labours begun! Oh and a filthy chicken kebab after church!

A great time away with the twenties, thirties and i don' think any fourties this year! We were at a 'ranch' (kinda) in Oxfordshire countryside. It's like a Christian equestrian (horsey) centre and the lady owner apparently became a Christian through the miraculous healing of her horse, Jackyboy! I kid you not! Thats what it says in the book and the Lord, well he works in truly mysterious ways! Lots of time playing games, eating, chatting, hearing great talks, getting to know new brothers and sisters!

What a great 3 day holiday! Yay for holidays!
Yay for 'anonymous' friends who ring the posh hotel you've booked and when you arrive they've upgraded your room to a full on fron of house, huge bay window with posh red velvet curtains and massive king size bed and thrown in breakfast - full breakfast - the works, that costs 14.95 a head, and they've paid for it all!!! Yay for Brighton, for hours chilling in the Lanes, walks along the seafront in the sun, and rain! For a bit of shopping, for romantic meals, for sipping wine in Browns posh yuppie type bar, starbucks about every 100 metres! Yay for 3 years of marriage!

Waking my hubby up on his 28th Birthday with cuppa and choccy hobnobs in bed! Seeing his delight at getting an i-river ( girls - it's an ipod thingy).

Sunday school going so well, the kids loving the games and laughing their heads of in delight! And really absorbing and understanding the teaching and also the random question of "Is Jesus really real?" What a privilege to answer!

Taking Matt out to Lunch at The Horseshoe in Hampstead - yummy posh lunch! Walking home in the rain, seeing the mirror that the pavement became, reflecting the lights, cars and sky.

Matt preaching another great sermon in Titus and God really using him to challenge us!
Chatting to Tony, whose working now where i was, with the team i love so well in Hull. Hearing good gospel growth is happening! Realisation of the great joy of knowing and loving this church family in Hampstead aswell as my other close church family in Hull!

Trying to work out with Christina - is Happy Birthday the most sung song in the world? We think so!

A great day of teaching on what God has designed us to be as women at the london Womens Convention. Taking 25 women from church to it, everything running smoothly in the organisation, seeing Sandra, Rach, Hannah and Jo and Thea loving it! Seeing Helena, Kate, Paula, Abi, Lesley, Claire, Esther, Val, Kate, Anne and Kathy!! Oh how lush to see them pressing on!

All female voice choir filling the Westminster Central Hall with praise to Jesus and encouragement for one another! Seminar on submission - much repentence and chat with the other young wives.

Going as a group to pizza express to end the day. Getting goats cheese as an extra on my four seasons!!! Genius! While eating seeing Justin Hawkins from The Darkness and getting his autograph for Matts birthday tomorrow - genius present!!!! Thanks Maya!

I am soaked full of dynamic, helper role affirming teaching!

Getting loads of housework done - finally! I am such a bad wife!

Reading through JOB and working out what it's on about! I get the start and the end, it's just all the friends arguments in between!

Taking our Kings College students from church to One Life event at All Souls and seeing lots of lovely people again, including the best steward ever Steph, Anna McNick who haven't seen for ages, student workers from TBT, and Becci Brown after like, at least 3 years!

Having no voice - it's hilarious!

SO now i am most thankful for having no voice as i have realised how thankful i am, and everyone else should be, that i normally do have a voice!

Also a good womens ministry meeting with the right outcome, finishing the amazing banoffee pie i made with Rachel and praying to our Lord together all that is on our hearts!

To be honest, feeling let down by friends, lonely and deserted at the exact time i particulalrly need good girl friends. Yet the graciousness of God listening to me cry out to Him, His grace in providing me the wonderful husband I have, who wants to make it better and takes me out walking in London through Soho, Covent garden and eats banoffee pie with me. More grace in the evening with God providing THAT phonecall.

The fun of last nights murder mystery! H I L A R I O U S ! ! !

The kids in Sunday school today REALLY getting the main point and going "WOW!" about Jesus and asking AMAZING questions for their age! deep , very deep man!

Having Christine and Angelique for lunch, well having them round, we had chicken. And managing to almost pull off making apple crumble for the first time ever with mum's recipe... it just wasn't quite right, but points for trying yeah?

Having 25 hungry students come to our pizza fest then half staying on for the student guest service! A great bold, clear talk!

Productive day, lots of talks written for all the youth groups in the next week.

Lunch with the very expectant Juliette, so exciting that there will be a baby Barratt in a week God willing!

The Briefing finally dealing with issues of Creation/Genesis. Though i now feel more than ever i am like the minority, by reading Genesis 1-3 pretty literally and not dividing up genesis 1-3 and taking some bits literally and some not - i just don't see how that works for the sake of the whole Gospel message! It perplexes me but anyhoo!

looking forward on this minging rainy day to going out with Rach tonight to Camden and to hearing all about what my hubby learned about God today at Cornhill!

Casey from my sunday school class asking me at Explorers " how old are you - like 15 right?"

Eerm... right!! Air punch of joy as i realise the anti wrinkle cream is working and think about starting my own show called '11 years younger'... yessssssssssssss!

And she even surpasses that comment by then going on to say " Pippa, wheres your butt? You have no butt!" ... girls - is that good or bad?! Enough of the 'kids compliments that make pippa feel a million dollars'. Sorry - i indulged didn't i!

Homegroup social - what fun! Amazing homemade food, great conversations ranging from a family of mice walking along the road in Camden, the dark prison that is the rules of Judaism and Islam, a viscious (however it's spelt) cat whom i had previously adopted and now want nothing more to do with, Brenda and Jean - 2 godly odler ladies that rock my world, and ending in praying for one another! Very special!

So much good stuff today that it was lush twice!

Travelling down to my parents fri night in Phil's car, having a lovely kebab in Hailsham, a lazy lie in in my old room, a 6 mile walk on the cuckoo trail to mum's work, a lift home in my mum's new weird ugly car, chicken korma dinner, then off to Nick and Charlottes wedding! Seeing lots of old college pals, finding out they have children some of them! Weird, only having in common the past! Travelling back through london at the dead of night.
